In the past five years, Chinas scale of cross-border e-commerce trade has increased by more than 10 times, Peoples Daily reported on Tuesday quoting He Yadong, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, during a news conference.据《人民日报》6月4日报道，商务部新闻发言人何亚东在新闻发布会上表示，过去5年，我国跨境电商贸易规模增长超过10倍。

In the first quarter of 2024, the cross-border e-commerce trade was 577.6 billion yuan ($79.76 billion), an increase of 9.6 percent year-on-year, of which the export was 448 billion yuan, an increase of 14 percent year-on-year according to the ministry.据商务部介绍，2024年一季度，跨境电商进出口5776亿元，同比增长9.6%，其中出口4480亿元，同比增长14%。

Preliminary statistics show there are more than 120,000 cross-border e-commerce entities in the country, at least 1,000 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, and over 2,500 overseas warehouses with a total area of more than 30 million square meters, of which more than 1,800 overseas warehouses focused on serving cross-border e-commerce with a total area of over 22 million square meters.根据各地初步统计，全国跨境电商主体已超12万家，跨境电商产业园区超1000个，建设海外仓超2500个，面积超3000万平方米，其中专注于服务跨境电商的海外仓超1800个，面积超2200万平方米。

Cross-border e-commerce is an effective force in the development of Chinas foreign trade and an important trend in the growth of international trade. The development speed of cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehouses, and other new foreign trade infrastructure is fast, the growth potential is large, and the driving effect is strong.跨境电商是我国外贸发展的有生力量，也是国际贸易发展的重要趋势。近年来，跨境电商与海外仓等新型外贸基础设施发展速度快、增长潜力大、带动作用强。

The ministry said it will facilitate industrial development, relying on Chinas 165 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones, combined with the industrial endowments and location advantages of various places, to drive more enterprises in the industrial belt to use cross-border e-commerce to participate in international trade.商务部表示，将赋能产业发展，依托我国165个跨境电商综试区，结合各地的产业禀赋和区位优势，带动产业带更多企业利用跨境电商参与国际贸易。
